Epic Boat Journey To Norway - Visiting Norway and The Fjords

I've been on many boats in my life. I've cruised down scenic lakes and rivers and done my best not to chum the waters while fishing in the big blue ocean. I've been in canoes, kayaks, fishing boats, paddle boats and jet skis, but nothing could have prepared me for the two experiences I had out on the water in the Fjords of Norway. Some places seem like they just shouldn't exist in real life, so you close your eyes and shake your head, only to reopen them and find that what you thought couldn't be real, is in fact...real.
In this world there exists a small yet magical Norwegian village called Undredal. It is home to 100 people and 500 goats...and that's 100% true! It is also, supposedly, where the fine folks at Disney got their inspiration for Anna and Elsa's home in the movie Frozen. At least that's what the guy driving our boat said and I was knee deep in brown Norwegian goat cheese drinking a warm beverage in the Fjords, so I was on board to believe anything this man said! In this fine village, there is also a pier and at the edge of this pier there is a boat docked and ready to take you to yet another magical Norwegian village called Flåm.
The MS Future of the Fjords is the world's first all electric zero emissions passenger vessel and it is amazing. This was my first time visiting any kind of fjord land and this boat was the perfect way to see this incredible landscape. The electric engine allows you to stand out on the deck of the ship and enjoy the views without a loud fuel engine. I mean...it was quiet, it was relaxing, it was peaceful, it was the most incredible introduction to a landscape that just seemed unreal and untouched. I remember standing on the deck telling my self over and over again to soak this in. To put the camera down and memorize this scene with all of my senses. For me, this part of the trip was just straight up magic!
The second boat ride of this magical journey was...smaller...louder and FASTER! The RIB-boat tour out of Flåm sends you flying through the fjords at high speeds giving you a much different experience! But the fun really starts before you even get on the boat. Because it was November and we were in Norway certain...precautions had to be taken, lol. Meaning they dress you up in about 5 layers of the warmest Norwegian wool and water proof jumpsuits and everybody just looks hysterical and ridiculous, but my lord is it insanely fun! It was one of those life experiences where I just couldn't stop smiling. Core memory made!
When I say this part of the trip was magic for me, I mean it. The Fjord Lands of Norway are beyond beautiful. They are ethereal in a way I didn't know existed. They have a kind of outdoor adventure I'd just never experienced before. I wanted to go farther and faster and higher and at the same time I wanted it all to slow down and stand still until I was positive I had soaked in every piece of this landscape and committed it, inextricably, to my memory. There are many things about life Im not quite sure of yet. But I do know, with absolute certainty, that I will visit Norway again in this life and continue to soak up all the outdoor things this magical land has to offer.
